Our great state of North Carolina was hit hard by Hurricane Florence in the month of September.
A large portion of southern and south eastern North Carolina were hit particularly hard with high winds and heavy rain that caused massive destruction and flooding. It is strongly advised not to drive across flooded roads, "turn around and don't drown" is the idea. The NC Highway Patrol said in a press conference that if you found yourself in a flooded vehicle you need to do everything within your power to get out of the vehicle.
