With the smaller size, it adds to the control you have on your knife. Use it for push cuts, pull cuts, rocking, and drawing. The Go mai constructed blade is a five layer Damascus with 1095, and non ferrous Damascus, also called mokume-gane. The blade as been etched with coffee to for a dark contrast and protective layer. Because 1095 and mokume are reactive metals, special care should be taken to the blade. It is advised to wash and dry it immediately after use.
