Conventional bonded hollow point bullets often exhibit issues with over-penetration, resulting in inadequate energy transfer, damage, and trauma within the intended target. G2 Research, however, has leveraged its innovative Trocar design, originally used in the solid copper R.I.P. fragmenting projectile, and incorporated it into the Civic Duty expanding self-defense round. This Civic Duty round effectively overcomes barriers just like the R.I.P. while expanding to 2.5 times its initial diameter upon contact with a fluid medium. As a result, it transfers 100% of its energy to the target and maintains 99.9% of its weight within the intended target, addressing concerns of over-penetration, particularly in close-quarters combat (CQB) scenarios.
