This Permatex High-Temp RTV Silicone is formulated for oxygen sensor equipped engines. This high-temperature RTV silicone resists auto and shop fluids and has an intermittent temperature range of -65 to 650 degrees Fahrenheit (-54 to 343 degrees Celsius). This Permatex RTV silicone is designed for oxygen sensor equipped engines Resists auto and shop fluids for greater durability Suggested automobile applications: valve covers, oil pans, timing covers, water pumps, and thermostat housings Oxygen sensor engine silicone volume: 3 oz. tube Directions: For the best results, clean and dry all surfaces with a residue-free solvent such as Permatex Brake Cleaner. Cut the nozzle to your desired bead size and apply a continuous, even bead of silicone to one surface, surrounding all bolt holes. Assemble parts immediately while silicone is still wet. Finger tighten until material begins to squeeze out around the flange. Allow it to dry for one hour, then retighten. The silicone will skin over in one hour and fully cure in 24 hours under normal conditions. Allow more time for cold or very dry conditions. Clean uncured silicone from hands, tools, and clothing with Permatex Fast Orange Hand Cleaner. Please note this gasket maker RTV silicone is not recommended for use on head gaskets or parts in contact with gasoline Due to warranty issues, technology changes (i.e. sensors, etc.), and aluminum components, Part No. 27BR can be replaced with ULTRA COPPER Part No. 81878 for optimal sealing performance
