The Outdoor Research Poseidon Gloves are a high-performance pair of gloves designed for outdoor activities in wet and cold conditions. Waterproof and Breathable Construction
The Poseidon Gloves are designed with a waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex® membrane, often using Outdoor Research's proprietary AscentShell™ technology. This membrane ensures the gloves remain waterproof while allowing moisture vapor to escape, keeping your hands dry and comfortable during intense activities.
Insulation
These gloves are equipped with high-quality insulation, such as PrimaLoft® Gold, which provides excellent warmth without adding significant bulk. This insulation is highly effective in retaining heat, even in wet conditions, ensuring your hands stay warm in cold environments.

Dexterity and Comfort
The Poseidon Gloves are designed to provide a good balance of dexterity and warmth. They do not feature a pre-curved design that mimics the natural shape of the hand. This design however does not interfere with activities that require precise hand movements, such as handling ski poles, ice tools, or other equipment.
Additional Features
- Adjustable Cuff Closure: The gloves have an adjustable gusset cuff closure system to seal out the elements and prevent snow and cold air from entering.
- Removable Liner: Some versions of the Poseidon Gloves come with a removable liner, which can be used independently in milder conditions or in conjunction with the outer shell for added warmth. The pictured gloves do not come with a removable liner.
- Touchscreen Compatibility: Certain models may include touchscreen-compatible fingertips, allowing you to use your smartphone or other touchscreen devices without removing the gloves. The pictured gloves are not touch-screen compatible.
Applications

These are some of my favorite gloves to wear in temperatures that are near freezing. There's plenty of dexterity and mobility, and they simply look like an adventurer's glove. The inner lining is smooth and comfortable, the outer shell is breathable and waterproof. All that and they are coyote brown (my favorite)!
What About Colder Weather?
When temperatures fall hard enough, a little extra insulation is needed. These military surplus glove inserts truly fit like a glove. These two sets paired together are warm, stylish, and functional.
