Christmas has a way of quieting the world. The woods feel still, the air feels sharper, and fires burn warmer. Most of all, Christmas calls us to slow down, gather close, and remember what truly matters.
At Roberts Bushcraft, we spend much of the year talking about preparedness, self-reliance, and stewardship of the outdoors. But Christmas reminds us that the most important preparation is not what we carry in our packs, but what we carry in our hearts.
Christmas is not about excess. It is about a gift freely given.
More than two thousand years ago, God stepped into His creation—not as a king in a palace, but as a child in a manger. The birth of Jesus Christ was the greatest act of humility and love the world has ever known. He came not to condemn, but to save. Not to demand, but to give.
The message of Christmas is simple, honest, and life-changing.
The Bible Plan of Salvation
The Bible tells us plainly why Christ came and what His gift means for each of us.
Romans 3:23 (KJV)
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Every one of us falls short. No amount of good works, preparation, or discipline can erase sin.
Romans 6:23 (KJV)
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Sin earns death, but God offers a gift: eternal life. Free. Undeserved. Given through Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:8 (KJV)
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Christ did not wait for us to be worthy. He died for us while we were still sinners.
Romans 10:13 (KJV)
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
That invitation is open to everyone. No exceptions.
Romans 10:9–10 (KJV)
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Salvation is not earned. It is believed.
A Christmas Invitation
Christmas is the celebration of hope entering a dark world. If you have never trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior, today can be the day that changes everything.
Let us help you with a simple prayer. Please realize that it is not the words that save you, but putting your faith in Jesus Christ.
A Simple Prayer
Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, but I ask you to forgive me for my sins. Please come into my heart and take me to Heaven when I die. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me. Amen.
From our family to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas. May your fires burn warm, your hearts be full, and your hope rest firmly in Jesus Christ.
Merry Christmas.
