The receiver and grip are made of an impact-resistant, glass-reinforced Zytel with a metal insert molded into the front of the receiver to accept the barrel and the serial number. The PLR-22 also has an integrated MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail for optics and attachments. The PLR-22 has an elevation-adjustable A2 post front sight and a windage-adjustable buckhorn rear sight. The 10.5" barrel has 1/2"-28 muzzle threads to accept standard attachments such as a muzzle brake.
