NAVY ARMS SURPLUS ENFIELD #4 MK1 .303 BRITISH RIFLE

NAVY ARMS SURPLUS ENFIELD #4 MK1 .303 BRITISH RIFLE

Stored in a military bunker in the South of France since the late 1940's, these rifles were dropped by the Allies to the French Resistance in the months leading up to D-Day and were used to help free Europe from Nazi occupation. These guns are all in very good condition, complete with no cracks in the stocks and excellent bores(no rust, pitting or wear). Original finish on both the metal and wood with all original stock cartouches. These guns were not re-finished after the war like many countries did, merely cleaned and stored in their original condition! These guns also bear unique and unusual factory markings as well as ID codes with a "PP" prefix affixed by the French after the war. All have M47/C markings meaning they were made at the Birmingham Small Arms(BSA) factory at Shirley. All are 1944 dated. Each gun comes with an original canvas sling, which remained on the guns from their wartime use and were never removed. In storing the guns, the magazines were removed from the guns and could not be found, so each gun has a new made replica Navy Arms magazine identical to the originals.Bores are all very good to excellent, no cracks in the wood and all wood and metal finish are factory original, Non-matching bolts.FEATURES:Enfield #4 Mk 1 rifle.Caliber: .303 BritishBarrel length: 25.2"Overall Length: Appx. 44.5"Weight: Appx. 9 lbs.Capacity: 10rds.
