Preparation could not be simpler, just add two cups of boiling water directly to the pouch, stir, and let set for ten minutes. Remove oxygen absorber from contents and discard, 2.) Thoroughly mix contents, 3.) Add 2 cup (480mL) of boiling water to 1 cup of dry ingredients, 4.) Stir well, fully submerging ingredients, 5.) Cover and let sit for 13 minutes 6.) Stir and serve PREPARING THE ENTIRE CAN 1.) Remove oxygen absorber from contents and discard 2.) Thoroughly mix contents 3.) Add 21 1/2 cups (5L) of boiling water to dry ingredients 4.) Follow steps 4 through 6 above PLEASE NOTE: Check the can before consumption to ensure there are no punctures. Rehydration time doubles every 5,000 feet of elevation gain. Our directions are set for 5,000 feet. STORAGE & HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS: The following storage instructions will ensure the maximum shelf life of this Backpacker's Pantry product. **DO NOT OPEN CAN UNTIL READY TO SERVE** Once the can is open, contents should be consumed within seven days. In between consumption, reclose the can with the plastic lid provided. Store at room temperature (70°F) or below. The lower the temperature of storage, the longer the shelf life will be.
