The T3x Lite Roughtech makes a number of smart refinements to the package, including a new extra-strong recoil lug and metal bolt shroud, expanded optics mounting options, and improvements to the grip and buttstock. The T3x: Smart Upgrades Front to Back At its core, the T3x is the same rifle you know and love. It's still built around a premium cold hammer-forged Sako barrel and extremely rigid two-locking-lug bolt, and it still features that awesome adjustable trigger. But pretty much every other aspect of the T3 was considered for improvement-and the result is a Rifle that's better out of the box. At the top of the list is the new, extra-strong, steel recoil lug that resists deformation better than the alloy lug of old. Similarly, a new metallic bolt shroud covers and shields the rear of the bolt body and firing pin, adding some robustness. The ejection port has been widened to make it easier to feed one round at a time, and to alleviate any potential FTEs. The T3x models have extra screw placements on top of the receiver so that you can attach a picatinny rail-even when using larger scopes. This Roughtech model replaces the original stock with a Roughtech modular synthetic stock that provides enhanced grip in all weather conditions. It also comes with a muzzle brake for recoil reduction.
