Romanian Military Surplus Horse Gas Mask New

With the rise of chemical warfare in World War I, systems to protect both humans and animals were quickly developed to counter it. Since then, the use of horses has almost disappeared in most armies. An outlier are the mountain units of the Romanian Land Forces, many of which still ride horses (and go through chemical warfare drills with those horses) up to the present day. This Cold War-era Gas Mask is a great collectible example of the novel design required to protect a horse against gas attack. Rare chemical warfare collectible fitted to horse proportions Separate mask and goggle system Includes 2 new sealed (expired) filters Not for safety use
