WINCHESTER 1912 Model 12

WINCHESTER 1912 Model 12

The Winchester Model 1912 (also commonly known as the Model 12, or M12) is an internal-hammer pump-action shotgun with an external tube magazine. Popularly named the Perfect Repeater at its introduction, it largely set the standard for pump-action shotguns over its 51-year high-rate production life.Popular today as a "slamshot" rifle, the Winchester Model 1912 lacks a trigger reset mechanism. When the trigger is held during reload, it automatically engages the firing pin as soon as the chamber closes. This allows for a more rapid rate of fire as the shotgun is cycled, otherwise called a slamshot. This Winchester Model 12 Slamshot is a 12 gauge shotgun with a 30" barrel. The year of manufacture is 1916. The shotgun is chambered for 2 3/4" shells and has a tube magazine that holds 5 rounds. The hardwood stock and hand grip are polished and still show luster with minimal scratches and dings. Expected wear for age. The receiver and barrel have lost much of their orignial bluing due to normal wear, but otherwise show no damage, rust, or pitting. This shotgun cycles as expected.
