The Model 1895 Big Bore is a lever action centerfire rifle. All variants feature a solid top receiver hammer block safety and side ejection. The base model features an American black walnut pistol grip stock with cut checkering and Mar-Shield finish blued finish 22 barrel with deep cut Ballard-type rifling adjustable semi-buckhorn folding rear and ramp front sights and tubular magazine. Other variants may sport a 16.5 or 18.5 barrel stainless steel metal parts large loop lever straight grip stock Skinner peep sight or Picatinny rail. (The Model 1895SBL is jokingly specified as appropriate for hunting T.
