The FN 509(R) is built on the proven architecture of the FNS(TM) Compact, FN made changes internally and externally to meet the rigorous performance standards of the MHS requirements and further developed the platform into the FN 509(R) with the help from industry experts. Over the course of development, the platform has been tested extensively for reliability, ammunition compatibility and durability - totaling more than one million rounds.The FN 509 is a dependable semi-auto originally designed for military and law enforcement use. This handgun design was also submitted to the U.S. Army handgun acquisition trials, ultimately losing out to the Sig P320 (M17).This handgun features One 10rd & One 17-round magazines, owners manual and a soft case. The 17rd mag has an FDE base plate.
