REMINGTON MODEL 121 THE FIELDMASTER

REMINGTON MODEL 121 THE FIELDMASTER

Remington Model 121 "The Fieldmaster" .22 Caliber (.22 Short, Long, & Long Rifle) manufactured in 1947. Excellent collector and shooter Pump Action Rifle with Takedown Receiver and Tubular Magazine (hold 14-20 rounds), 24" barrel, wood stock. The front sight is a beaded blade dovetailed into the barrel. The rear sight is a flat top "U" notch elevator sight screwed to the barrel. Both sights are adjustable. The stocks are walnut, the buttstock is smooth and has a straight comb, pistol grip and checkered alloy buttplate. There are some scattered minor nicks, scratches, and compressions but the stock is not cracked. Given the age and minor use, this is an excellent no-rust rifle and rare to not have any wood cracks that were common on the neck near the trigger guard.LOP measures about 13 3/4" from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate, which shows some finish wear and minor edge nicks. The bore is bright and the rifling is well-defined. The takedown is in great condition for easy disassembly, cleaning, backpacking, storage, etc. Matching serial numbers! Overall, this rifle rates in excellent condition. Fully functional, a beautiful shooter and collector rifle.
